Tyco Healthcare

Tyco Healthcare is the healthcare division of Tyco International. In January 2007, Tyco filed with the SEC for permission to spin off its healthcare division into a separate, independent and publicly-traded company. At that point, Tyco Healthcare will assume the name "Covidien" and will be headquarted in Mansfield, Massachusetts.^[1]

Tyco Healthcare has grown by acquisition to become one of the largest healthcare companies in the world. It operates in the surgical devices, medical imaging, medical supplies and pharmaceutical markets. Brands which have been acquired include:

Valleylab electrosurgery equipment

Nellcor pulse oximetry
