Tyco Healthcare is the healthcare division of Tyco International. In January 2007, Tyco filed with the SEC for permission to spin off its healthcare division into a separate, independent and publicly-traded company. At that point, Tyco Healthcare will assume the name "Covidien" and will be headquarted in Mansfield, Massachusetts.[1]
